Wood Magnificent Wood
We have been collecting rare exotic woods for decades. Peter has been an avid woodcarver and sculptor since his youth. Adele has long been a designer of ornate wood fireplace surrounds and kitchens. Her love of mathematics is reflected in her puzzle designs.
We love working with exotic woods because of their beauty and feel. There is something magical about the feel of dense heavy wood. We now occasionally incorporate the world's oldest and rarest of woods, authentic Ancient Kauri. This tree lived for more than 1200 years and died 10,000 years before man existed. We use it because it is unique and we love the history that comes with it.
Math because it's an exciting and essential part of life...and we make it fun.

Renewing our Forests
A portion of our profit is donated to organizations dedicated to the renewal of exotic hardwood forests. Even though we use only an very small portion of it, we feel our (your) donations help to keep exotic hardwoods forests sustainable.
We also make every effort to obtain our wood from sources that practice responsible forestry in line with FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidelines.
